We’re proud to share that Ofsted – the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Service and Skills – has given Strive Training a ‘good’ rating following a full inspection carried out in early November.

Ofsted gives education providers an overall rating of either outstanding, good, requires improvement, or inadequate. 

The inspection report recognises Strive Training’s leaders and managers for their clear vision to support unemployed learners into gainful employment and praises Strive’s commitment to providing learners with new avenues into work. As stated in the report:

“They have established strong working relationships with prestigious employers and nationally recognised stakeholders. As a result, the curriculum meets local and regional priorities. Leaders use these partnerships innovatively to provide learners with links into employment or on to further study.”

In describing what it is like to be a learner with Strive Training, the report stated:

“Learners at Strive enjoy their training, which they know helps them to prepare for future employment. Learners value the skills and knowledge that they develop, and they recognise that these strengthen their ability to perform the job roles for which they apply. Most learners increase their confidence and are motivated to progress into further study or employment.”

The report also commended Strive’s devoted staff and leaders for their dedication to delivering quality training, providing a safe and respectful learning environment, and motivating learners to reach their full potential. As the report notes:

“Learners work hard at Strive and are keen to meet the high expectations that staff set for them. They know that staff genuinely care about them and want them to be successful. Learners on distance learning programmes appreciate the high-quality and well-structured learning materials, which help them to work independently. Learners feel that staff go ‘the extra mile’ for them.”

Jonny Phillips, Strive Training’s Managing Director, was pleased to see Ofsted so clearly recognise Strive’s dedication to its learners. “While I had no doubt that the inspection would be positive, it’s wonderful to see such lovely feedback from our learners. Everyone at Strive Training works extremely hard to ensure that our learners are successful – from our amazing tutors to our Employment Support Team – and it’s nice to see this so well reflected in Ofsted’s report.”
