Frequently Asked Questions

You are eligible to enrol on a Skills Bootcamp if you are an adult aged 19 or over who is either in work, self-employed, recently unemployed or returning to work after a break. You must have lived in England for at least the last three consecutive years, and you must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
If you are an employer recruiting an individual who has completed a Skills Bootcamp, there is no cost to you.
If you are a large employer wanting to upskill your current workforce, you will benefit from 70% government funding. Small or medium employers (SMEs) who want to upskill employees will be subsidised up to 90% of the cost of the programme.
Time requirements and commitment will vary depending on the Skills Bootcamp and sector. You must be able to commit to a minimum of at least 15 hours each week. Please check the time requirements for the Skills Bootcamps for which you are registering to ensure you can commit fully to the teaching times and days.
A live learning session is an online face-to-face session with your tutor and other learners on your course. You will have the option to select your preferred sessions, which will take place each week at the same time. These live learning sessions are a mandatory part of your course – failure to attend may result in you being withdrawn from the course.
When you complete a Stive Skills Bootcamp, you will be awarded a Strive Training digital certificate of achievement and a certificate detailing the modules that you have completed. Additionally, you will be given an interview with one of our partner employers in the relevant sector.
