Over the past year, Waitrose has seen massive growth in its online grocery business – delivering some wonderful job opportunities for our motivated learners!
As a company that aims to go above and beyond to provide an amazing experience for its customers, Waitrose & Partners seemed like a natural fit for a sector-based work academy programme (SWAP) with Strive Training.
In May, we teamed up with the grocery giant to host our first Waitrose & Partners SWAP, which prepared our learners with the skills and knowledge to step into a new role as a Customer Delivery Driver for Waitrose, whilst earning an Entry Level 3 Qualification in Customer Service. Over the course of two weeks, learners explored different communication methods, strategies for dealing with complaints, and participated in a virtual experience with the Waitrose Team! Following the course, learners had the opportunity to interview for one of Waitrose’s open Customer Delivery Driver roles.
Building on the success of the programme, we recently launched a new partnership with Wincanton and Waitrose! Wincanton, a leading third-party logistics and supply chain solutions provider, has teamed up with Waitrose to open a Customer Fulfilment Centre in Greenford Ealing – and they’re actively hiring Customer Delivery Drivers!
To help Wincanton recruit motivated and qualified drivers, our curriculum experts created a bespoke Customer Service SWAP course specifically tailored to Wincanton’s recruitment needs. The two-week course prepares learners to deliver an exceptional customer service experience on behalf of Waitrose by teaching them the key concepts of customer service delivery. Learners also have the chance to hear about the role directly from Wincanton’s recruiting team and get insider tips on how to successfully progress through their recruitment process.
The programme has been a wonderful opportunity to help our dedicated learners find sustainable job success in a truly customer-centric workforce. As Waitrose put it:
