As we prepare to close out 2021, it’s time to look ahead at what’s to come in 2022. Good news is on the horizon for today’s job seekers, as UK recruitment shows no signs of slowing in the year ahead. According to ManpowerGroup’s latest Employment Outlook survey, UK hiring intentions are at a 30-year high as organisations continue to fill a number of open vacancies with qualified candidates.
Heading into the new year, organisations across the UK are actively looking for workers to fill a number of different roles within various sectors. Amongst the most in-demand job roles are care and home workers, primary and nursery education teaching professionals, sales and retail assistants, and chefs.
At Strive Training, we’ve teamed up with leading employers across the UK to help them recruit motivated, qualified and skilled employees through exclusive sector-based work academy programmes, or SWAPs. These government-funded job training programmes are designed to help businesses build the skilled workforces they need to succeed, and help prepare our learners to step into an open role and hit the ground running!
As we head into 2022, we’re delighted to be hosting a series of upcoming SWAPs designed to help our learners find work in two of the most in-demand sectors:
Health and Social Care SWAP
This 4-week, home-based course will give learners the knowledge and practical skills to work in a care home, domiciliary care, in community support or a childcare setting. Learners will have the opportunity to hear directly from our partners – like LifeWays Group, Achieve Together, Home Instead, and GrandNanny – about open job opportunities, which may include:

Hospitality and Catering SWAP with Sodexo and Hilton
This two-week, home-based course will prepare learners with the specific hospitality and catering skills that Sodexo and Hilton are looking for in new recruits. Each graduate will receive a guaranteed interview with both companies! A sampling of the open vacancies include:
