In today’s technology-driven world, basic IT skills have become an essential part of everyday life. From sending emails and accessing information online to managing personal finances and successfully applying for jobs, fundamental technology skills are required to carry out a range of everyday activities. 

That’s why we’re delighted to now offer Basic IT Skills as a classroom-based course in our newly reopened Croydon Centre. Designed for novices, this short, straightforward course will provide learners with the foundational computer skills they need to navigate the internet, communicate online, and use popular software applications, like Microsoft Word. 

During this course, learners will develop a sound understanding of how to use computers and technology as part of their daily routine, including:

• Using the internet to conduct research
• Communicating through email and other digital media
• How to use popular applications to create, edit and format digital documents
• Staying safe when using digital devices and the internet

We’re excited to be able to offer this as a classroom-based course in our Croydon Centre, where learners will have the opportunity to meet and learn with other friendly Croydon locals looking to improve their computer skills. They’ll also have the opportunity to work face-to-face with our experienced and supportive IT tutor, who will help ensure they have a successful and enjoyable learning experience.
