Freelance distance learning assessor

In this role you will be accountable for maintaining a caseload of learners, and for ensuring the delivering of training progress meets the requirements of the appropriate funding body, awarding body and Strive.

Key Responsibilities:

To support learners in achieving their learning goals through:

  • Adapting/developing appropriate learning materials- Tutoring, including on-line support.
  • Recording and providing feedback to learners on progress in their programme of learning.
  • Assisting learners to complete workbooks and build up a portfolio of evidence for assessment.
  • Deliver inspiring training sessions to individual learners in a range of subject areas.
  • Actively support, mentor and motivate learners across the learner journey to help them with the timely completion of their learning aims and qualification. Contact will be all online and will include delivery sessions through virtual Learning platforms.
  • Enrol, observe, mark and assess and review work produced by learners to ensure it is of the appropriate standard to reflect the learner’s qualification and meet the needs of the qualification and awarding organisation requirements.
  • Provide insightful, constructive and informative feedback to help the learner maximise their potential.
  • Proactively monitor, evaluate and improve the quality and effectiveness of own workload and working practices to ensure deadlines and targets are met and that the learner has an outstanding experience.
  • Provide timely feedback on learner progress and achievement.
  • Keep up to date with CPD in relevant subject areas.
  • Have due regard and take appropriate responsibility for PREVENT and the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of children and/or vulnerable adults.
